P-Series MSHA Mining Cable

ACCESSOR TRUNK CABLES (P1209) FOR MINING & MSHA AREAS

Conspec’s P-Series Mining Cables are a 4-conductor power/data transmission cable approved for use in MSHA, ATEX, and IECEx classified areas. Intended for connectivity within an Atmospheric Monitoring System (AMS), P-Series cables are designed to withstand demanding conditions.

With two available cable types, Conspec offers accessor trunk cables for every mining application:

  • P1209 Heavy-duty shielded cable – A dual jacketed, stainless steel braided armored, 4-conductor cable that provides additional protection for demanding environments. Designed specifically for use with Conspec Trunk Communications hardware. The ONLY cable approved for use INBY Conspec’s 911150 and 911150-M Blue outstations for Intrinsic Safety.
  • P1209-TC RS485 Cable – A shielded 4-conductor cable with 2 12 AWG conductors for power and an 18 AWG shield twisted pair for communications.
PRODUCT FEATURES
  • Single-Trunk Communication Architecture – A compact four/six-wire trunk cable provides the only communication line required, eliminating extensive hard wiring and simplifying system installation.
  • High-Capacity Parallel Connectivity – Accessors connect in parallel and can be placed anywhere along the trunk, supporting up to 128 Accessors and as many as 1,000 control and monitoring points.
  • Long-Distance Data Transmission – Dedicated transmit and receive lines support reliable communication up to 8,000 feet, extendable to over six miles using Trunk Expander cards.
  • Cost-Effective Mine-Wide Coverage – A single trunk covers large underground areas without remote field stations, reducing infrastructure costs while maintaining accurate, timely communication.
