Multi-Spectrum Flame Detection

Rapid flame detection with high false-alarm rejection for challening industrial and hazardous-area applications.

Multi-spectrum flame detection uses discrete, infrared (IR) and ultra-violet (UV) bands to detect hydrocarbon and/or non-hydrocarbon fires in challenging environments. Detection type, enclosure material, and approval ratings vary by model. Options include rugged, explosive-proof housing with various Class I approvals where applicable.

D171 IR+UV

Flame Detector for Class I, Division 1

Engineered to detect hydrocarbon fires up to 200 ft using UV and single-band IR sensing, with high false-alarm rejection.

D371 3IR+UV

Flame Detector for Class I, Division 1

Engineered to detect hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon fires up to 200 ft using UV and three-band IR sensing.

D381 3IR+UV

Flame Detector for Class I, Division 2

Detects hydrocarbon, non-hydrocarbon, and hydrogen fires with UV and three-band IR sensing in a rugged NEMA 4 enclosure.

D390

Clean Room 3IR Flame Detector

Detects hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon fires in chemical-laden environments using three-band IR sensing.

Beam Smoke Detection

Detect early signs of heat events with infrared smoke detection, engineered for safety across large, open, or high ceiling spaces.

Beam smoke detectors project an infrared (IR) beam across an open area and detect smoke by measuring changes in the light reaching the receiver. They are well suited to large, open spaces and high-ceiling environments where installing or maintaining point smoke detectors can be difficult. Beam smoke detection complements gas and flame monitoring within a broader facility safety system to create improved facility awareness. Our beam smoke detector products include UL / ULC-listed models, with additional hazardous-area approvals available on specific configurations.
